BOSWELL CROSS COUNTRY PLACES IN TOP 10 AT PASCHAL INVITATIONAL

Boswell cross country places in top 10 at Paschal Invitational

The Boswell cross country teams had a strong showing at the Paschal Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17. The Pioneer varsity girls team finished 3rd out of 25 teams on a tough course at Athletic Performance Ranch. The girls team ran well against Byron Nelson and Eaton who are ranked #5 and #6 in the region. The Lady Pioneers were led by junior Lola Deane (6th) with a time of 19:51. Other placements for the girls team include; Brooklyn Dotts 21st, Ashlyn Crossland 23rd, Juli Almodovar 29th, Grace Pineda 36th, Ella Cushman 42nd, Addy Lunsford 48th, and Ally Smith 60th.

The boys team finished 10th out of 25 on the district course. They finished just short of Chisholm Trail and Bell. The Pioneers asserted themselves into the district title conversation with this performance. The boys team was led by senior Israel Hernandez who placed 23rd. Other placements for the boys team include Owen Bowles 43rd, and Tyler Mercer 53rd.

Boswell has two more meets to compete in before their District Championship on Oct. 14 at Athletic Performance Ranch. The Pioneers will compete at the Garmin MileSplit Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24 at South Lakes Park-Eureka in Denton followed by a very large meet at the University Of Arkansas Chilipepper Invitational on Saturday, Oct.1 in Fayetteville, AR.
